Shyamsundar Chhetri (Laxman Karki)

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Shyamsundar Chhetri (also known as Laxman Karki), who was born on January 1, 1970, in Sanchi, Bhutan. He spent part of his life in the Khudanabari Refugee Camp before resettling in the United States in 2012, making his home in Burlington, Vermont, and later relocating to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 2022. He is survived by his loving daughters, Urmila Chhetri, Parbati Chhetri, and Saraswoti Chhetri, and is preceded in death by his son, Lt. Dillip Chhetri. Funeral services will be held on April 23, 2026, at 11:30 am at 2100 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
