In Loving Memory of Nar Maya Timsina September 20, 1972 – October 26, 2026 With Deepest Sympathy and Heartfelt Condolences It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nar Maya Timsina, a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, and cherished member of our community. Nar Maya Timsina was born on September 20, 1972, in Chirang, Bhutan, to her late parents, Chandra Lal Subedi and Ruka Maya Subedi. Her life was a remarkable journey of resilience, courage, sacrifice, and hope. On April 21, 1992, she was forced to leave her homeland of Bhutan and seek refuge in Nepal. She settled in Sanischare Refugee Camp, Sector F3, Hut No. 31, where she spent approximately two decades navigating the challenges of refugee life while holding on to the hope of a brighter future. In 2009, she began a new chapter of her life when she resettled in the United States, arriving in Concord, New Hampshire. In 2021, she moved to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where she continued her journey surrounded by family and community. She most recently resided at 4755 Maple Shade Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Nar Maya’s life reflects the strength and perseverance of the Bhutanese refugee community. From her birthplace in Bhutan to the refugee camps of Nepal and eventually to the United States, her journey represents a legacy of endurance, hope, and determination that will continue to inspire future generations. She is survived by her beloved husband, Nil Kantha Timsina; her son, Dilux Timsina; and her daughter-in-law, Bishnu Sharma. Funeral and Celebration of Life Family members, friends, relatives, and community members are invited to gather to honor her life, celebrate her legacy, and offer their final respects.
